Laura believes each time you come to the mat is a unique opportunity for exploration of breath, movement, and the nuturing of the mind-body-soul connection. She strives to provide a warm and inclusive space that gives students the freedom to listen to their inner guide, focus on intentions that are meaningful to them, and enhoy their journey in the present moment. She encourages students to find a balance between effort and ease, and to quiet the chatter of the mind. Functional movement helps us lead stronger and healthier lives. The foundation of my training style stems from finding a way to bring movement into your life in a safe and effective way, unique to your individual needs. After suffering from 3 back injuries early into my teaching career, my perspective on fitness took a greater emphasis on finding healthy ways to move the body despite physical limitations that vary each day. In both group classes and private sessions, we work to maximize the potential of your body, mind, and breath through challenging yet grounding forms of movement. My classes focus on the importance of the core to support functional movement patterns, to find groundedness in the breath, and to use the freedom of movement to better align our posture, and better align our lives!

Serious and enthusiastic about yoga and all of the benefits one can attain with practice, Mary brings a purposeful yet comfortable and upbeat spirit to her classes.
