Melissa is a Certified Yoga Instructor and has been practicing yoga for over eight years. She is certified through FiTour and has over 200 hours of instructional experience. She also has 15 years of experience teaching step and water aerobics, strength training and kickboxing. Melissa understands the mental, physical and spiritual benefits of yoga and enjoys challenging students of all levels. We invite you to attend her vigorous Vinyasa flow class.
Aly is a practicing certified yoga instructor working towards her 200 RYT through YogaFit. She teaches primarily in the vinyasa style. She is certified and trained in all levels including Yoga Strength, warm yoga, Prenatal/Postpartum, and Anatomy/Alignment. She encourages any students of any skill level to join her for class!!
Gavin specializes in gentle and restorative yoga. He has been practicing Yoga/meditation for over 8 years and is a 200 hour registered yoga instructor through the Hailey Yoga Center. "Yoga and meditation have helped me heal through an array of injuries and surgeries. It has also helped me get through my anger and depression issues. Yoga and meditation are an indispensable part of my life. My goal as a teacher is to help people deeply relax, get in touch with their bodies and become more balanced and centered.”
Laura believes each time you come to the mat is a unique opportunity for exploration of breath, movement, and the nuturing of the mind-body-soul connection. She strives to provide a warm and inclusive space that gives students the freedom to listen to their inner guide, focus on intentions that are meaningful to them, and enhoy their journey in the present moment. She encourages students to find a balance between effort and ease, and to quiet the chatter of the mind. While Laura comes to each class prepared with a theme or series of poses, she also pays close attention to the energy level and experience in the room when establishing the pace and difficulty level of the class. She offers modifications and adjustments to support students in having a safe, beneficial, and rewarding practice. Laura is a 200 hour Certified Yoga Instructor. She teaches in the vinyasa and restorative style.
Functional movement helps us lead stronger and healthier lives. The foundation of my training style stems from finding a way to bring movement into your life in a safe and effective way, unique to your individual needs. After suffering from 3 back injuries early into my teaching career, my perspective on fitness took a greater emphasis on finding healthy ways to move the body despite physical limitations that vary each day. In both group classes and private sessions, we work to maximize the potential of your body, mind, and breath through challenging yet grounding forms of movement. My classes focus on the importance of the core to support functional movement patterns, to find groundedness in the breath, and to use the freedom of movement to better align our posture, and better align our lives!
Mary Mandell is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor, and is in the process of completing her 500 hour certification. Mary has extensively studied T.K.V. Desikachar’s teachings and is now studying under the influence of B.K.S. Iyengar’s teachings. She believes this combination of studies will bring a well-rounded methodology to her teaching instruction, with a focus on movement and alignment that is not only correct, but also modified for each individual as appropriate. Serious and enthusiastic about yoga and all of the benefits one can attain with practice, Mary brings a purposeful yet comfortable and upbeat spirit to her classes.
Dr. Kelli Harrington believes that everything in life happens for a reason and that going back to basics, like the Zen proverb says, “Chop wood. Carry water” is the key to a fulfilling life.
Kelli is a teacher of yoga, an ayurvedic health practitioner, a life coach, Reiki master and an Acharya adept in the Kripalu tradition. She has worked with individuals and groups both domestically and abroad for 23 years. The foundation of her work is the mission of ZenSpot, Inc., the company she is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of – Empowering People to Discover Their True Self.
Harrington has extensively studied the fields of yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and Ayurveda. The traditions of Swami Kripalu and Krishnamacharya are the basis by which she does her teaching and seva. Kelli earned her 500-hour yoga certification from the Kripalu School of Yoga and her 200-hour yoga certification from YogaFit, and has also studied yoga therapy with Phoenix Rising and Yin Yoga in the tradition of Sarah Powers. Additionally, she is a certified Reiki Energy Healing Master in the tradition of Dr. Mikao Usui and an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner with a focus on nutrition, herbology and Jyotish astrology.
As an educator, trainer, coach and healer, Harrington utilizes her background in educational technology to direct the company's online education platform, opening access to yoga and its associated topics to practitioners and teachers around the globe through the ZenSpot Institute, the educational training facility developed in 2011. Harrington earned a doctorate in Educational Organization and Leadership with a concentration in Critical Hermeneutic theory from the University of San Francisco; an MA in Humanities from Teachers College, Columbia University; a MSEd in Educational Administration and Supervision from Pace University; a Principal and Superintendent’s Credential from the State of New York and a BS in History and Secondary Education from New York University.
Harrington is certified in personal fitness training, ayurveda lifestyle and weight management, holistic stress management and lifestyle coaching through the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) and the Spencer Institute. Kelli’s yoga and ayurveda certifications are recognized by the Yoga Alliance and The Kripalu Schools of Yoga & Ayurveda and her life coaching training is approved by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Kelli received her Reiki master training and initiation at the Holistic Studies Institute in New York and is also a specialist in pre-natal/postpartum yoga as well as yoga for seniors. She is the author, with her husband and Co-Founder, Dr. Michael Bittner, of two yoga DVDs, several online courses and a meditation CD for both beginner and advanced practitioners.
Currently Kelli is completing advanced studies of ancient yogic texts with Brenda Feuerstein of Traditional Yoga Studies in Saskatchewan and a year-long Acharya (spiritual teacher) intensive with Devarshi Steven Hartman Jovinna Chan of Pranotthan Yoga School in California.
Jessica has been instructing Group Exercise since 2010 and acquired a degree of Health Science and Physical Therapy in 2013. Along with her PTA license and 100+ hours of continuing education courses, she is also a certified PiYo instructor through Beachbody. In her experience Jessica has enjoyed teaching various group exercise formats including: PiYo, Turbokick, Cardio Tone, Body Sculpt, HITT, Bootcamps, and most recently Mat Pilates. She has always had a passion for health fitness and learning about the body. It is her goal to educate and instruct her clients in a way that will help make fitness a lifestyle and to “Get your sweat on with a Smile!”
